Dads come in all shapes and sizes, some are soft spoken, some are involved and some very authoritarian. Some Dads are physically absent and some are just plain ole' absent. Most dads are an amalgamation of their own experiences with their dads, sprinkle parts of their own personality and add life choices.
I married a great man, a faithful partner and an incredible dad. God in his wisdom guided me towards him. Just think about it: I was living in Argentina and somehow, someway ended up in Virginia and met my husband. How can you describe a person to everyone? You will have to take my word on this, I was inspired by something bigger than myself to join my life with this man and my life is more the richer. While there are times that I wish I could be a SAHM, I know that I have given my son something greater. I have given him an ever present DAD. Circumstances change and soon it will be time for my husband to spread his wings and live his dream, the bond that my son has with his dad will forever be strong because of the time they have spent together. Needless to say that I truly believe that I could not have done a better job and that my son is a thriving toddler. My son and I love this man and he makes us happy and that is all that matters.
Let me introduce you to my son's dad. My little bug is on a "Fantastic Four" kick and calls his daddy Mr. Fantastic, that about sums it up for us. If you follow my blog you already know what I am about to write: I wish he were my dad!
I could die today and know without a doubt that my son will be taken care of.
Personality wise, my son is my spitting image. We are impulsive, capricious, head strong and very opinionated, while my husband is much more soft spoken, even tempered and very patient. He evens us out, he talks us down and he is stern when he needs to be. Yep, God knew what he was doing.
No matter what the future holds, we are a tight knit group, happy to just enjoy one another. This is the family I dreamed of having, exactly the way we are. Some say that life is comparable to seasons, and through it all with our ups and downs, we have one another.
Happy Father's Day!
I just want him to know how much we appreciate him and that we love him. Thank you for everything that you have done, are doing and will do
